Business Continuity Exercise Template
Practice makes perfect… When it comes to planning, a lot of effort is spent in writing the plan then all that hard-work is left sitting on the shelf to gather dust.
I have seen plans thicker than phone-books that somebody spent a lot of time preparing, but nobody ever used.
What is the answer? Your plan needs to be a living document, something that is referred to regularly… and exercised!
These don’t need to be huge events, small exercises held regularly also have a lot of value. How do you keep your plans fresh?
Paul Kudray answers the question “To what extent is “exercising” a critical part of the validation process?” and explains how critically important exercising your Plan is to:
- Plan Maintenance
- Validation
- Confidence
- Competence
- Practice
- Business Continuity Management Effectiveness
