A Business Continuity Management Programme needs to be structured, to achieve compliance or certification. Everybody should know what the Business Continuity Policy is, the direction of the Programme and what the organization is trying to achieve.
When the intention of the programme is clear it is much easier to measure whether or not it has been delivered.
The objective of any Business Continuity Management Programme should be how to continue to deliver core services, stay strong and survive the tough challenges that are ahead. Structure is important to communicate organizational intent to others and to learn going forward.
